Irish Hyperbolic Crocheted Coral Reef
The Woolly Way has just heard about a very exciting textile project that may be taking place in Ireland Spring 2010. An Irish Hyperbolic Crocheted Coral Reef!
More info here...http://woollyway.blogspot.com/2009/10/hyperbolic-crochet-coral-reef-workshop.html
Already, the interest is great, with lots of Irish Ravelrs taking part. There is an unofficial coffee meeting at 11.30am, before the workshop starts. So come along and start crocheting!!

Re: Irish Hyperbolic Crocheted Coral Reef
It's official, the International Crocheted Coral Reef will take place in the Science Gallery in Spring 2010.
The plan is to make an Irish Coral Reef to exhibit alongside. There is a lot of work to do, only 5 months to make the reef. As we hear more news on workshops, events, etc, we will let you know. The plan is to try have regular workshops going on around the country, so if you can crochet, and you want to take part, please get in touch. If you work in a yarn shop, a library, a teacher interested in a group project, get in touch. This is a very exciting project that ticks all the right boxes, its community, environmental awareness, it's combining science and craft, it suits all ages.... and it's fun...
The Science Gallery will be coordinating the project. www.sciencegallery.com
There is now a Ravelry group Irish Hyperbolic Crocheted Coral Reef, if you are in Ravelry, join us
